Design Tools for Non-Designers
Feeling creative? We have many clients who like to delve into the design world from time to time. There are a few standout online tools we’ve come across that I like to share. We are always here to provide design services, but for the quick blog post graphic, banner ad, or similar graphic need, check these services out. All are free (although some offer a premium option with additional features).
Canva
This is a template based tool that comes with a ton of great stock photos, illustrations, icons, and layouts. Very intuitive.
Pixlr
PIXLR is a photo editing tool and offers many of the important features of Photoshop but with a much slimmed down interface. Upload your photo or use a URL to import the image, then apply photo fixes, filters or other adjustments and save. Easy!
BeFunky
This service offers a photo editor as well as a template based design tool. There are some free materials but their subscription plan extends the inventory. Worth exploring.
Showbox
Video! That’s right, create your own video with stunning backgrounds, free stock footage, transitions, text overlays and more. We’ll be experimenting more with this tool here at Apis in the near future, but for those of you who want to jump in and starting creating video for your website or social media channels, here’s your chance without the typical investment.
