Apis Productions is looking for a website technical administrator
to assist with the ongoing technical and systems administration of 350+ Wordpress websites, hosted at WPEngine. While our data center provides a great foundation for website hosting services, we need help with overall systems management and the ongoing website launch lifecycle. We are looking for a results driven and people oriented team-player, who can also work independently. Innovative thinking and strong problem solving skills, combined with a commitment to customer satisfaction are key requirements. This is a part-time remote contractor position, approximately 10-15 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the website launch process for our clients’ websites. This includes DNS management, cPanel administration, SSL certificate management, and QA, We average 3-4 launches per month
- Troubleshoot and resolve server and software issues
- Develop and implement security protocols
- Track server analytics and performance. Identify website performance issues and develop solutions
- Maintain a disaster recovery plan to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity
- Ensure website compliance with industry standards
- Provide Tier 3 technical support as needed
- Evaluate and upgrade website ecosystem by conferring with vendors and services and developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software as needed
- Enhance website hosting architecture by developing system access, monitoring, control and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; and maintaining documentation
- Support development teams with web application stacks
Skills / Experience / Requirements
- Knowledgeable of website server architecture
- Wordpress / PHP / SQL database expertise
- Data center deployment expertise
- S/FTP experience
- DNS & SMTP management expertise
- Wordpress Plugin evaluation and troubleshooting
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in website management
- Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
- Must have flexibility during the week and occasional weekends
