There’s a plugin from another author that uses the same slug as mine and is available on the wordpress plugin directory. WordPress by default checks for updates there and finds that other plugin, thinking it’s the same. That is not my plugin, so updating will basically make the team layouts previously built to stop to work.
What you need to do to workaround this is downloading the latest version of my plugin directly from codecanyon (from the downloads section).
- If the content is already gone, you need to restore a backup into a staging environment and using SFTP extract the plugin folder with the data, the backup must be from before the update.
- After that, you must SFTP into production and replace the plugin folder.
- From https://account.envato.com/, you must download the correct version from Carlos Moreira. (This was in the knowledge base, I do not recommend it since I can’t log in there to check the version.)
